OTS Scholarship programme

Total number of scholarships: 6

  • Total value of the scholarship (per scholarship): between  € 7.681 and € 14.722 depending on the course. The tuition fee will be waived to the level of €2.143.

  • Eligible programmes: open for all English-taught full-time Master's programmes with the exception of Erasmus Mundus Master's programmes, joint or double degree Master's programmes and the Master's in Theology
Duration of the scholarship Entire duration of the studies (12 or 24 months)
Deadline for application Radboud University’s application deadline for all Orange Tulip Scholarship programmes 2020/2021 is 1 March 2020. Furthermore, applicants must have completed their request for admission via our online OSIRIS application system before 1 March 2020.

Note 1: the English language tests and the minimum test scores needed for each Master's programme may differ. Therefore, always check the language admission requirements of your specific Master's programme.

Note 2: applicants must take care to provide proof of English proficiency through adequate test results before 1 June 2020, but preferably before the scholarship deadline.

Additional requirements

- In order to receive the scholarship, you need to be admitted to a Master's programme at Radboud University (and at the time of your scholarship application you need to have at least applied).

- Please note that you need a non-Dutch Bachelor's degree from a research university to be eligible for the Master's programme.

- Students holding a nationality that makes them eligible for the lower European tuition fees are excluded from receiving an Orange Tulip Scholarship. More information about tuition fee can be found at: www.ru.nl/masters/tuition

- The OTS is only available for Master's programmes starting in September 2020.

*All OTS applicants need to hand in two reference letters. For some Master’s Programmes two reference letters are obligatory and part of the admission process in our OSIRIS system. If an OTS applicant chooses one of these Master’s programmes he/she does not need to add two new reference letters for OTS. So two reference letters in total, not 4. 

If the programme they are applying for at Radboud University does not require reference letters during the admission process (in OSIRIS) he/she does need to add two reference letters to the OTS application. They do not need to be sent to Radboud University directly and is part of the OTS documentation.

If you apply for admission to a Master's degree programme and the OTS scholarship before 1 March 2020, Radboud University will assist you in finding housing in Nijmegen. And just before the programmes start, you can expect to receive a warm welcome during the orientation week, organized specifically to get to know the University, fellow students, and the city.

Nijmegen is a lively university city in the heart of Western Europe and European Green Capital 2018, just 1,5 hour away from the Dutch capital Amsterdam and a few hours from Paris, London and Berlin. The city is surrounded by a beautiful varied countryside, with forest, polders and riverside beaches. It is a friendly and safe place to live and study.
