1. Where can I find information about study in the Netherlands

2. How do I apply to an institution in The Netherlands?
Every institution has its registration form on its website. You complete the registration form and send it to the institution together with your academic records, qualifications and other required documents.
3. Do I need a visa to study in The Netherlands?
If you are staying for longer than 90 days in the Netherlands, a visa is required. In order to obtain the visa for the Netherlands, the procedure requires you to work together with the University to process your application. The application documents must be sent minimum 3 months before you start with your study. The university will put in your application for a visa. The visa will be issued by the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Brasília or Consulate General of the Netherlands in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.
If you have an European nationality, you don´t need a visa to study in the Netherlands.
4. Where can I find scholarships?

Tuition fees will vary depending on the courses or institutions. We just provide average costs as a guide. Tuition fees for a bachelor program range from € 3,500 to € 7,000 per year; master courses range from € 8,000 to € 19,000 per year.
If you have an European nationality, the tuition fees drop to approximately € 2,000 per year.
Living costs too will vary by location, course and lifestyle. It is about € 700/ month.
6. What are the entry requirements for a Dutch university
The most common requirements are: diplomas (If you intend to do a bachelor´s programme you need a secondary education diploma, if you apply for a master´s course, you need a bachelor´s diploma, and so on), and English proficiency tests (TOEFL or IELTS).
Each institution has a different policy so, there may be some differences from one institution to the other.
7. Can I study English Preparation program before the main course?
Yes, some institutions have the preparatory courses for international students.
If you want to study English preparation program, please check the institution website to make sure that institution provides this course.
The preparatory is usually designed for students who need to upgrade their English level with 0.5 or 1.0 point IELTS to be admitted to bachelor or master courses. It means that you also have at least IELTS 5.0 or TOEFL 500 to apply for the preparatory course. Therefore we highly recommend that you should get a sufficient English level in Brazil before going to the Netherlands to study to save your cost and time.
8. Can I use English in daily life?
Yes, 80% of Dutch people can speak English well.
9. Can I work while I am studying?
Yes, you can apply for a work permit to work up to 10 hours a week all year round or you may work full-time during vacation periods (June, July and August). In case you have an European Nationality, you don´t have this 10 hour limit. You can work freely in the Netherlands.
10. What is the weather like in the Netherlands?
In winter (from December to February), the temperature is about 1- 4oC.
In summer (from June to August), it is usually warm and dry with the spells of cool and wet weather.
The yearly average temperature ranges from 9.0 to 10.4 °C (January: 2.0-3.8; July 16.5-17.7).
11. Are there other Brazilians studying in Holland?
Each year, around 250 students go to Holland with the purpose of studying at a higher education institute in many different areas.
